Dr. Edema Ojomo has over 10 years of experience supporting public and private sector organizations in improving their processes and businesses, and in achieving their organizational goals. Most recently, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company with experience in Nigeria and the US. During her time at McKinsey, she led teams and served clients in organizational design and operating model design, talent acquisition and value maximization, and commercial strategy development.
Prior to her time at McKinsey, Edema worked with private sector, bilateral, and multilateral donor clients to support improved access to safe water and sanitation in low-income communities. Specifically, she has served and partnered with WHO, UNICEF, USAID, PATH, and the World Bank. Edema also served as head of communications for the WHO and UNICEF International Network on Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage, planning and coordinating meetings and developing and disseminating newsletters to 1,500+ people from 150+ organizations globally.
Edema has bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Fisk University and Vanderbilt University, respectively, as well as a master’s degree and a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
